Bella's LuLu Dress

Happy New Year everyone!!

What is your new year sewing resolution?? I think you can guess what's mine. I wish to make more patterns for our own girls clothing sewing pattern line venture, Popolok Design, inspired by my own Bella girl.

Here's our newest pattern, the LuLu Dress:

It was started by this version, LuLu Block. A color-blocked mod style dress. Have i mention that i just love color-block trend and planning to make a whole collection from it for Bella?? Blocking and clashing variety colors is just so fun, just like our fun & playful little girls.

It was an easy, a few hours of sewing, kind of dress. Then i thought, hmm, why don't i make more. Inspiration is so absolutely important in marketing a pattern line. I decide to make this little black dress with lace inset on the center front panel, called it LuLu Black. For me, it's a cute little dress with a touch of elegance.

I believe every sewing mama have their own collection of cute vibrant printed cotton. They are very addictive to buy. And have you ever went to the craft store and looking admiringly at those variety of lovely lace trim rolls. Well, I did. Then, i made this. Combining printed cotton and matching solid color fabric with lace trim embellishment and called it LuLu Blue. The printed cotton is from Pinking Flower collection by Kaffe Fassett.

This pattern is currently is in pattern testing process. If you interested to be a pattern tester, drop us an email at popolokdesign@yahoo.com or visit our Facebook page.

I am absolutely having fun making all these three dresses. Bella seems to love them too. Will be making more soon! :)

    1. Thanks sertyan. I am actually not really sure what is the fabrics. I bought from the local shop. It's like cotton but a bit thicker & sturdier.
